This page has no privacy policy. If your web server logs visits, then every page reachable by a search engine should have a privacy policy explaining what is logged and how the logs are used.

Priority 2
Provide a search option on each page of content-rich web sites.
A search option should be provided on all pages where it may be useful - users should not have to return to the homepage to conduct a search. Search engines can be helpful on content-rich web sites, but do not add value on other types of sites.

Use the LANG attribute to identify the language of the page.
In HTML add a LANG attribute to the HTML tag, and in PDF set the language using Document Properties in Acrobat. This allows screen readers to pronounce words correctly.

Omitting IMG WIDTH or HEIGHT attributes means page text jumps about as images load.
This makes the page very hard to read while it's loading, and the user may click on the wrong link if it moves as it's being clicked. Add width and height attributes to the img tag matching the image dimensions. Authoring tools like Dreamweaver can automate this process.

Priority 1
An 'img' element must have an 'alt' attribute, except under certain conditions. For details, consult guidance on providing text alternatives for images.

<h1>Our Estate and Parkland Fencing</h1>

34 <p>Estate post and rail fencing comes in many styles, originally of course the work would have been carried out by the retained estate blacksmith and testament to the skills of these men many of the fences and gates they made still stand as functional items today, many can be dated by their production techniques to over 100 years old.</p>

35 <p>In fact although an expensive initial option compared to the modern obsession with cheap wooden posts and wire, the whole of life cost of a correctly specified and installed steel estate rail fence is perhaps the lowest cost fence of all!</p>

36 <h2 class="sub">Specification</h2>

37 <p>We offer three 'off the peg' fence packages in the straight post style of estate rail fence. We can also custom make any combination of rail and post dimensions you require. This way we can perfectly match into any existing fences and fence restoration or special requirements such as deer or rabbit proof fence. Curved top (often called paddock fencing) is also available, just tell us what you want and where you want it, our team will do the rest.</p>

Avoid specifying a new window as the target of a link with target="_blank".
Displaying new windows without warning can be very confusing to non-sighted and mobile users. Some screen readers and mobile devices give very little indication a new tab or window has opened. If you cannot avoid displaying a new window, insert a warning into the link text like the following: "opens in a new window".

This page has links to a PDF file, but does not provide a link to download Acrobat Reader.
You should include a link to download Acrobat Reader. When a web page requires that an applet, plug-in or other application be present on the client system to interpret page content, the page must provide a link to a plug-in or applet that complies with S1194.21(a) through (l).

43 <p>All the posts on a Bowland fence are welded at every single post to rail connection on both sides, you might appreciate that fact when you have large stock scratching against your fence. The rails themselves are joined by welding and staggering the joints on a brick bond arrangement for better sight lines and the ultimate tensile rail strength.</p>

44 <p>We do not offer bolt or screw or bolt together DIY kits and we do not try and substitute skilled workforce with unreliable location collars as our fences are meant to last and look good for a lifetime.</p>

45 <p>We offer various designs of suitable gates or can custom make to match your individual wishes.</p>

46 <p>Your fence can be painted with our specialist hard wearing paints and primers, gate posts are usually galvanised prior to painting as standard. If you wish your finish as bare steel to rust naturally into the surroundings please advise us or if you wish to use your own paint or painters likewise. Again our aim is to be flexible.</p>

47 <p>Underground specifications and installation are entirely dependent on the ground conditions. Our <a href="/contact.html">site survey and quote</a> will normally take care of this detail.</p>
